Description: We invite you to become part of our fun and friendly bridge playing community. We are located in Sydney Eastern Suburbs, in Double Bay. We provide duplicate bridge games on a daily basis for our members and their friends. These duplicates are arranged into four different sections according to experience - from advanced to beginners and two steps in between. We teach complete beginners to play bridge. Our bridge lessons are the most popular in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, and probably the whole of Australia. This is because our classes always have good numbers. Good numbers mean a good variety of partners and opponents, which is essential as you make your way in the bridge world. It is also more fun. We publish a series of books for beginners that are used by most of the leading teachers all around the country. We organise bridge holidays to a range of exciting destinations, both here and overseas. The Grand Slam Bridge Centre was founded in 1983. It became the only bridge centre in Double Bay when it took over the Double Bay Bridge Centre in 2012. The Double Bay Bridge Centre has been the home of rubber bridge in this country since it was formed in the mid 1950s.

Description: Established in NSW 2009, Suzie Coghlan found herself spending more and more time on the road. Between looking after her child with disability, and the increasing medical needs of two aging parents, she saw the need for a personalised service that helped people get around in their community and maintain their independence. So Suzie established Carers That Drive – and the name says it all! From small beginnings, with one or two other drivers, the word quickly spread and the service grew. Today, Carers That Drive helps people throughout greater Sydney, the Central Coast, some rural areas of NSW and the Sunshine Coast region of Qld. Suzie and the team take great pride in getting to know their clients and making the best match between client and driver. With each booking you know exactly who your driver will be and your driver will have been briefed on what your needs are. Carers That Drive match 3 supporters to each client, so you never miss out! You can still find Suzie on the road today from time to time whether that’s driving a first-time client or helping out one of our ‘regulars’, Suzie is always keeping her finger on the pulse.

It’s a process that happens over time, to give it the personality and feeling that creates a space that you will love and enjoy. I'm Monique Blumenfeld, and I've been a lover of interiors from the moment I discovered Florence Broadhurst as a young girl. My passion for décor is truly an obsession, a feeling that is constant and forever evolving. My number one goal is to help clients transform their spaces into bespoke, beautiful and most importantly functional homes. Creating exceptional spaces doesn't need to cost the earth. I want to take the sting out of Interior decorators being costly and make the process affordable and fun. ABOUT MONBLU To make a house into a home that you will love spending time in, takes an eye for detail, passion for great design, and a true understanding of how the space will be used. As a skilled and experienced interior stylist, I pride myself on: - Listening closely to your needs, and clarifying your vision. Ensuring the project meets your brief, timeline and budget. Drawing on my industry knowledge to save you money (and avoid expensive mistakes). Working closely with you to make the process easy, enjoyable and transparent. Putting together great interiors for you and your family is my aim. The greatest reward is seeing your excitement when it all comes together. Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away........

Description: What started as Sunday community meal to help those feeling lonely over 30 years ago, Canice’s Kitchen has now transformed into a daily service providing support to men and women experiencing homelessness and social exclusion. No longer just a soup kitchen, we are a place of connection for those who have no permanent address. Somewhere for people to come together, connect and find the support they need. Situated close to Kings Cross and nestled amongst the jacarandas our Kitchen would previously open its gates seven days a week. Our outdoor café and dining areas we would be buzzing the days stories, a shared meal and many laughs. Over 400 volunteers rostered across these days gave their energy and experience to create home cooked meals that made our little piece of Sydney feel like home. On the 1st April, 2020 Canice’s Kitchen #everythingfromthegate was born. The homes of 200 volunteers were transformed into virtual remote kitchens, our leaders rallied team spirit via whatsapp and our onsite crew converted our entire service to be COVID safe. Ten months later we had distributed over 190,000 items food during the pandemic, supporting our community and the many more that needed us. On the 1st February this year our gates reopened, our volunteers came back onsite and we were once again the heart of the community. We are now operating weekly health, legal and employment clinics, daily showers with access to toiletries and personal care items and brand new clothing, supplied by our partner Thread Together. We recently launched our Community Support Program, a bespoke employment training program which supports our Guests back into paid work. We have partnered with Canva, Australia’s leading tech start-up and now have relationships with an extensive network of businesses that help us provide a holistic model of support. One of our most valuable additions has been our Street Coffee Shop. A hole in the wall addition brought to life as the answer to a COVID problem. What we thought would be a temporary solution to how we could serve coffee in a COVID safe way, has become one of the most appreciated areas of our centre. A place to grab hot cuppa, strike up a conversation, check in with each other and know that someone will always know your name. Kettle and Cup as we fondly call it serves over 300 coffees a day now! We have never stopped looking to the future and now, even more so. We want to ensure that we empower our Guests, our community and our volunteers beyond COVID. Taking with us these experiences and growing as an community that continues to stand by one another. Positive mental health outcomes, improved social connection and pathways out of homelessness are the central themes that we are focused on beyond 2021. We welcome your support in helping us continue to grow as the heart of the community, a place people can come for support but one that they eventually leave, stronger and ready for their own bright future. Our Kitchen is funded be generous parishoners, local residents and businesses. If you would like to be a part of our story and see how your donation can directly change lives you can make a fully tax deductible gift here. All donations are 100% tax deductible. This is Canice’s Kitchen, where everyone is welcome. - *tag
