However, the method for ocular conditions differs with Lumenis OptiLight How it works: Short, powerful bursts of light at specific wavelengths (between 515 and 695nm) cause changes in red blood vessels near the surface of the skin and eyes, increases skin temperature and eliminates problematic flora on the skin and eyes. We use the protocols developed by Dr Rolando Toyos (USA) which utilises a 590nm filter. No referral is required. One of our optometrists will perform a comprehensive Dry Eye Assessment and discuss any questions you may have regarding your treatment. We create a suitable treatment plan that covers pre, during and post-treatment care. Dry Eye Treatment Chronic Dry Eye causes red itchy eyelids when the eye glands are unable to normally lubricate the eye and which can cause you much discomfort.
