Morning 30th April 2019 - If you're wondering about the police presence on New South Head this morning it is because they a running a pedestrian security check to ensure people are adhering to the rules at pedestrian crossings (and generally).
It is being run after a series of pedestrian injuries that have taken place recently in Double Bay.
The officer in charge explains that "Jay Walking" is a fine-able offence to please be warned and cross carefully.
